CustomHosted · The hosting arm of CustomLabs Service area: United States (others on request)

We build your software at CustomLabs. Then we keep it running. We host static sites on a global edge network and dedicated instances at flat monthly rates, and we manage both. TLS, backups, monitoring, and patching are included. You never touch a console.

## What we run

Two shapes cover most of what we host for clients. See the full [stack breakdown](https://customhosted.com/platform). Neither one locks you into a proprietary platform, so you can take your stack with you.

### Static

Global edge network

Marketing sites · docs · SPAs

Your site runs on a global edge network with caching close to the reader. TLS renews on its own, and deploys wire straight to your repo. Push to main, and it goes live in minutes.

[How static hosting works](https://customhosted.com/static) [What a request meets on the way in](https://customhosted.com/delivery)

- Global edge network with caching
- TLS certificates, auto-renewed
- DNS managed end to end
- Deploys from git push or upload
- Real 404s, redirects, security headers

From $5/mo Rate card ↓

### Dedicated

Dedicated compute

APIs · databases · full applications

A dedicated instance at one fixed monthly price, with no per-request billing. We provision it, harden it, patch it, and snapshot it every night. A failure triggers a restart and alerts a person.

[What a visitor sees during a restart](https://customhosted.com/what-visitors-see)

- Fixed-price dedicated instance
- Static IP, TLS-terminating proxy
- Nightly snapshots, 7-day retention
- Monitoring, alerts, auto-restart
- SSH access if you want it — or never

From $29/mo Rate card ↓

### Custom

Quoted

Queues, object storage, background jobs, managed Postgres — when the workload doesn't fit the two shapes above, we design the stack that does and quote it flat.

№ 02 Process

## Brief to always-on

Hosting shouldn't be a project. Most stacks go live within days of the brief. Everything is defined as code, so leaving is easy too. We hand the whole thing over, properly.

1. 01 — Brief — Tell us what you're running, or what CustomLabs is already building for you. A paragraph is enough. We'll ask what else we need.
2. 02 — Provision — We stand up your stack from code: the edge network, certificates, DNS, instances, and backups. Every change is versioned. Nothing is clicked together by hand.
3. 03 — Deploy — We connect deploys to your repo. Push to main, and it ships. Static sites go live in minutes. A dedicated instance ships through a supervised pipeline.
4. 04 — Keep watch — We monitor the stack, back it up nightly, and patch it. When something needs a decision, a person contacts you.

Exit clause No lock-in by design. Everything that defines your stack exports on request, at no charge.

№ 03 The difference

## Same stack, less of your time

Whatever you run — a static site, a dedicated instance, or a full custom stack — this is the trade you're making, dimension by dimension.

| Dimension | On your own | With CustomHosted |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Go live | Provision servers, wire DNS, request certs, debug the pipeline. | One brief. Static sites live in minutes, most stacks within days. |
| TLS & DNS | Issue and renew certificates, manage DNS records yourself. | Issued, renewed, and managed end to end — you never touch it. |
| Backups & recovery | Script snapshots, test restores, hope they work. | Nightly snapshots with retention, restores we own. |
| Monitoring & patching | Watch dashboards, chase CVEs, patch at 2am. | Monitored around the clock and patched on a schedule. A failure triggers a restart and alerts a person. [What a visitor sees during a restart →](https://customhosted.com/what-visitors-see) |
| The bill | Per-request billing, egress arithmetic, surprise invoices. | One flat monthly rate. A fair-use transfer allowance is on the rate card. [See how a month is billed →](https://customhosted.com/billing) |
| Shipping a change | Find dev time, write the ticket, wait for a release cycle. | Brief it in plain language. A CodeHerder agent opens a pull request, and CI ships the merge once a person reviews it. |
| Getting out | Untangle a proprietary dashboard to leave. | Defined as code and fully portable — a free, documented handover any time. |

№ 04 The loop

## Ship, then keep shipping.

CustomLabs builds the first version. Because it's already hosted here and defined as code, CodeHerder's agents can iterate on it directly. Brief a change in plain language. An agent opens a pull request, and the same pipeline ships the merge.

1. 01 — Build — CustomLabs — Design and build the first version with the consultancy that also runs it. One team takes it from brief to production, so nothing is lost in a handoff. — [customlabs.io ↗](https://customlabs.io)
2. 02 — Iterate — CodeHerder — Agentic, automated iteration on the code that's already live with us. Brief a change, an agent implements it on a branch and opens a pull request, CI ships the merge. Human-reviewed, versioned, repeatable. — Our product
3. 03 — Run — CustomHosted — Every stack is defined as code and deploys straight from your repo, so the loop closes on the same pipeline we monitor, back up, and patch. Merge, and it's live. — That's us

№ 05 Proof

## Proof, not promises.

The loop above is a claim. Here's the paper trail: the actual pull requests behind this site, and worked examples showing the same loop priced for other workloads.

Built in the open 132 shipped

**132** merged pull requests behind this site itself — latest shipped 3 October 2026.

1. LG-91 “Your homepage says things your own pages say are not true.” Rewrote the homepage against the facts the rest of the site already publishes, and replaced its invented CodeHerder demo with a real change drawn from the case files.
2. LG-90 “We run a plain Node API. Your stack list names it, but there is nothing to read.” Added the Node API page the stack register was missing, then derived every stack page's navigation link from that register so none stay unlinked.
3. LG-89 “Our app signs people in. Which part of that do you handle, and which part is ours?” Published what a login needs and who supplies it, where a session lives, what a release does to one, and this site's own login: there is not one.

In service 5 worked examples

One thing we can measure is this site: 87 routes, with a median page weight of 17.2 KB. Worked examples show the same loop priced for other workloads.

- Independent publisher's digital edition — Media — Static — Static Pro $15/mo — Iteration — CodeHerder loop +$25/mo Iterate Brief a homepage swap for a seasonal campaign in plain language. An agent opens a pull request against the templates. A human reviews it, and the same pipeline ships it.
- Regional logistics dashboard — Logistics — Dedicated — Dedicated M $59/mo — Iteration — CodeHerder loop +$25/mo Iterate Brief a driver-idle-time report for the dashboard. An agent writes the query and the chart, then opens a pull request. A human reviews it before it ships.
- Series-A analytics SaaS — Fintech — Custom — Custom Quoted flat — Iteration — CodeHerder loop +$25/mo Iterate Brief a usage-based billing tier. One pull request touches the pricing model, the worker that meters usage, and the billing screen together. A human reviews it before it ships.

№ 07 Estimate

## Size it yourself.

Read your own meter instead of waiting on a quote. Pick a base plan, add what you need, and the rate updates live — send it straight to the form when you're done.

Base plan Static Starter $5 One marketing site, docs, or SPA — near free to start. — Static Pro $15 Several sites, staging, and fine-grained routing. — Dedicated S $29 Small APIs, background workers. — Dedicated M $59 Production apps with a database. — Dedicated L $99 Heavier workloads, multiple services. — Custom Quoted Queues, databases, full stacks — quoted flat. Add-ons Additional static site +$10 Another site on the same account, same edge network. — Staging environment +$12 A second environment to test changes before they ship. — Extended backup retention (30-day) +$8 Daily backups kept for 30 days instead of 7. — Agentic iteration — CodeHerder +$25 Brief a change in plain words. № 08 The grid

## Heavy iron, kept boring.

Your workload runs on the grid, not a rack in our garage. See the full [stack breakdown](https://customhosted.com/platform). We read the meters, so you never have to think about what's under the floor.

- Edge network — The edge network answers the crowd. Static Pro and its siblings have no server to queue behind — the only real limit is transfer, and transfer is priced flat. The median page on this site weighs 17.2 KB.
- Object storage — Eleven nines of durability. Your site and your backups live here, replicated across multiple facilities.
- Dedicated compute — Instances with a predictable monthly price — the honest way to buy a server. No per-request arithmetic.
- DNS — We manage the name servers and the records. You keep the domain and the final say over where it points.
- Certificates — TLS is issued at cutover and renewed automatically, well ahead of the expiry date. — [See the record sheet →](https://customhosted.com/domains)
- Everything as code — Every stack defined as code, versioned, and exportable. Nothing is clicked together in a console.

№ 09 Answers

## Straight answers.

The questions every brief eventually asks. Ask us something else in the form below.

1. 01 What can you actually host? Any app. Two standard shapes cover most work: static sites on a global edge network, and dedicated compute at a flat monthly rate. Anything else — APIs, databases, queues, background workers, full stacks — we design and quote flat. If it runs on a server, we can run it.
2. 02 How fast can we be live? Static sites go live in minutes. Most stacks are live within days of the brief. A fixed monthly quote lands within one business day.
3. 03 How do CustomLabs and CustomHosted fit together? CustomLabs builds the first version, CustomHosted keeps it on. One team, brief to production, nothing lost in a handoff.
4. 04 What is CodeHerder and how does it help? CodeHerder is agentic iteration on code already hosted with us. Brief a change in plain language. An agent opens a pull request. Once a person reviews it, the same pipeline ships the merge. [See a real change go through the loop →](https://customhosted.com/case-files)
5. 05 Am I locked in? No. Either side can end the service at any time, with no early-termination fee. A documented handover is free. The Portability page lists what moves with you and what stops.
6. 06 What do I have to manage? About 55 minutes of your own time at move-in. That covers DNS access, your secrets, and a sign-off on the go-live window. After that we manage the infrastructure: TLS, backups, monitoring, and patching. Your application code stays yours to run. [See the full list of what we don't manage →](https://customhosted.com/limits)
7. 07 How does pricing work? One flat number per month. The rate card lists a fair-use transfer allowance. [See how a month is billed →](https://customhosted.com/billing)
