The service
CustomHosted provides managed hosting: static sites served from a global edge network, dedicated compute instances, and managed databases, plus the operational work of running them — patching, TLS, backups, and monitoring. These terms govern your use of that service.
Accounts
Each customer holds one account covering the plans they've signed up for. You're responsible for the credentials on that account and for what runs under it, including anything deployed by people you've given access to.
Billing
Plans are billed monthly, in advance. Rates are subject to change with 30 days' notice before a new rate takes effect on your account. See Billing for what this clause means in plain English, including a specimen invoice.
Acceptable use
Use of the service is also governed by the Acceptable Use Policy, incorporated into these terms by reference. It covers prohibited uses and fair-use limits on shared plans.
Limitation of liability
The service is provided as-is, to the extent the law allows. Our liability under these terms is capped at the fees you've paid in the preceding month. For downtime specifically, the service credits described in the Service Level Agreement are your sole remedy.
Termination
Either side can end the service at any time, effective at the close of the current monthly billing cycle. There's no long-term lock-in and no early-termination fee.
Data portability
Your stack is defined as code, in a repository you hold — not clicked together in a console only we can see. If you leave, you take the repo and its configuration with you. Nothing is stored in a proprietary format, and we'll help with a reasonable export on request.
